Data processing

The AMIS team is heavily involved in the Integrated Data and Operations Centre (IDOC). Since its creation, it has developed and maintained expertise in high-level processing of data from long wavelength space missions:  IRAS, ISO, Spitzer, Herschel, and currently JWST.

As part of the JWST MIRI Instrument Center of Expertise, we maintain and operate with the support of IDOC the MIRI data processing pipelines. We implement new algorithms in these pipelines, and distribute the products obtained through a database with accessibility and interoperability means (development with REGARD in collaboration with CNES).

In addition, we have set up the Innovative Common Laboratory for Space Spectroscopy (LabCom INCLASS) between IAS and ACRI-ST company. The objective of the LabCom is to develop tools for the joint exploitation of spectroscopy and imaging data with fusion methods. For us at IAS this is data from JWST/MIRI, and for ACRI-ST data from the Sentinels 2 and 3 missions of the European Copernicus program.
