Environnemental commitment

IAS is committed to environmental transition.

The Green Commission

The IAS Green Commission consists of volunteers concerned about ecological and climate issues.

It coordinates the laboratory's actions, conducts the GHG Assessment and proposes policies to reduce our impact.

To address different aspects, it is organized into several working groups:

  • Procurement Taskforce
  • Communication Taskforce
  • Travel Taskforce
  • Digital Taskforce
  • Resource Center Taskforce

It meets monthly during the Green Coffee meetings.

Actions:

  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions Assessment:

IAS has been conducting its GHG Assessment annually since 2022 using the GES1.5 tool from Labo1.5.

  • Green Day

The first IAS Green Day took place on January 9, 2025.

On this occasion, IAS hosted a seminar by Guillaume Blanc, researcher at IJCLab: "What kind of research in an ecologically constrained world?"

Awareness workshops "My Earth in 180 minutes" and the Climate Fresk were held in the afternoon and brought together nearly 30 participants!

  • Awareness Actions

"My Earth in 180 minutes" workshops are organized at IAS throughout the year.

  • Travel Decision Tree

To encourage staff to reduce air travel, a travel decision tree has been published.

  • Conference Organization

A best practices guide is available for organizing eco-responsible conferences.
